Rio Tinto – 123 Albert St

123 Albert Street is a new icon for Brisbane’s CBD skyline. 123 is a Premium Grade high rise that has achieved a 6 Star Green Star – Office Design v2 Rating. 123 is a seamless design encompassing 26 levels of office space, a broad light-filled ground floor reception, an exciting retail space and eight levels of car parking space. Alpolic White, Medium Grey Metallic and Sparkling Dark Grey panels were chosen for the facade to create a sense of modernism as well as allowing for visual connections to the surrounding concrete jungle.

“As a finely crafted and environmentally efficient office building, 123 Albert Street, with its highly connected street-level spaces, floating podium and offset tower floors, will set a new benchmark for office development in the Brisbane CBD” – Rodney Uren, Principle In-charge, HASSEL

“Rio Tinto is committed to sustainable development, and so it is important to us that our new Brisbane Regional Centre at 123 Albert Street is aiming for a 6 Star Green Star sustainability rating for the base building and fit out. Features such as tri-generation power and grey water recycling will help us minimise our environmental footprint while the use of sustainable building materials will help create a healthy work environment for our employees.” – Doug Ritchie
